How Public Relations and Marketing Intersect
On this episode, we link up with our former colleague and one of our favorite humans, Lauren Leetun, President, Sprout Public Relations, to discuss reaching the right audience for your message. While a long-standing public relations professional, Lauren has also worked on the content marketing side of things. We talked about the evolution of public relations and content awareness. Other things we stumble upon: reputation management, the value of good writing and good editing, new media, and strategic communicators.

First and foremost she says:
“If you can’t get a subscription to a paid newspaper service, at least read the national headlines on your computer or phone or wherever you can gain access each morning. Make this your first stop on your phone instead of social media sites. Think about how the stories you’re reading are defining national or international trends… can your organization fit into that story somehow?”
